Excellent - I hope this is the beginning of the 'buy the These Girls DVD for David's birthday' campaign. Everyone wins – you get something, he gets something, I get something.
I too wish that we would be picked up by some small theaters in the US but I have my doubts that that will happen. I think our last festival screening in the US is Baltimore – which is not very close to Chicago (I suppose I should post about that soon).
Any ideas about showings in the UK (preferably Edinburgh!).
Has anyone approached the Edinburgh International Film Festival? It's becoming a bigger event (witness the premiere of Joss Whedon's 'Serenity' last year). I know it's not until August, but I think it would be a great outlet for the film.
We have been thinking about The Edinburgh Film Festival - I think it would be a great place to launch the film in the UK.
I am having a meeting with the producers about international festivals this week and it will definitely be one of the festivals we discuss.
It seems like David has a lot of fans in the UK – when we were shooting These Girls he had to leave for a few days to go to London to sign copies of Angel DVDs. Literally thousands of people wanted to see him.
A showing in Edinburgh would be great news - especially as the venues used by the Film Festival are in the city centre and on the bus route I live on!!
Apologies for the double posting earlier - don't know what happened with Blogger.com. I was also trying to upload something to my own blog and couldn't.
